It's no secret that Doctor Gregory House (Hugh Laurie) has a dislike of children. It goes along with the cornerstone of the entire series which includes his gruff attitude, blazenly honest, forthright statements, and superior attitude. Children, to House, are just another kink in the atrocities of life.
So what's up with the recent lovey, huggy with House and Cuddy's (Lisa Edelstein) daughter? It seems highly uncharacteristic from the Super Bowl commercial that showed House and an unknown child. They are engaged in conversation when House tosses him his cane and ends up hitting the kid with it. "I thought you had that," House says sarcastically as he walks away.
